Computer science call (draft)


The Computer Science Department at the IT University of Copenhagen invites applications for one or more full­time faculty positions in computer science at the rank of assistant professor or associate professor. The proposed starting date is November 2018 or soon thereafter.

We look to hire strong candidates holding a PhD in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or a closely related field.

Preference will be given to experienced applicants and to applicants who can deliver research­-based teaching in one or more of the following areas:
  • cryptography
  • data analytics, databases, data systems
  • computer science didactics
  • internet of things (?)
  • human-computer interaction, user interface design
  • software engineering, including tools for software development, collaboration and documentation, and tools for large-scale software analysis (?)
  • other fields of computer science, such as algorithms, concurrency, operating systems, optimization, programming languages, security


Data science call (draft)


The Computer Science Department at the IT University of Copenhagen invites applications for one or more full­time faculty positions in data science at the rank of assistant professor or associate professor. The proposed starting date is November 2018 or soon thereafter.

We look to hire strong candidates holding a PhD in data science, computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or a closely related field.

Preference will be given to experienced applicants and to applicants who can deliver research­-based teaching in one or more of the following areas:
  • data visualization
  • machine learning, (machine) learning theory
  • other fields of data science, such as computational statistics, large-scale data analysis


IT project management call (draft)


The Computer Science Department at the IT University of Copenhagen invites applicants for an assistant/associate professorship in IT systems development / IT project management. The proposed starting date is summer 2018.

The Research Centre for Government IT has a vacant position as associate professor or assistant professor.

The successful candidate is expected to hold a PhD in computer science, software engineering, or similar relevant field. The preferred candidate has competences within all or several of the following areas:

  • Software Development
  • Software quality and metrics
  • IT project management
  • Design, execution, and reporting of IT project studies
  • All phases of the system development life cycle, including operations and maintenance
  • Qualitative as well as quantitative research methods, interviews, and surveys
  • Proficiency in a Scandinavian language

However, we also welcome applications from exceptional candidates with other areas of expertise within the domain of IT projects.
